Roy Rodriguez is the President/CEO of Intercon Paper located in both Dallas, Texas and Atlanta, Georgia. Intercon Paper converts over 50,000 tons of paper per year.
Mr. Rodriguez attended college at The University of North Texas where he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing. While attending college, Roy worked for UPS, where they taught him how to work and gave him his management skill he would utilize significantly in the future. Soon after college, Roy and his father, Jose Rodriguez, started Intercon Paper. They started their business in a garage, similar to a lot of U.S. businesses. They built a carport behind their house and even built it into a warehouse due to growth of customers but they quickly out grew it. Roy and his father sold their smaller equipment (sheeter and paper cutter) and moved into a larger warehouse where they purchased additional equipment, and the cycle continued until where they stand currently.
Roy found the love of paper between working in Mexico, going to college, hard knocks and various jobs that he held. Roy found what he wanted to do for the rest of his life; A business owner for the unique world of paper. Roy states “I consider myself an expert in paper and in the paper industry. I love to find new and creative ways to continue to grow my business. I am very passionate about what I do and I like to have fun in the process especially when working with the Intercon Team, clients and suppliers”.
Christian Trevino joined Intercon Paper in 2006 when CEO/President opened business doors in Monterrey Mexico. Mr. Trevino has 12 years’ experience in the paper industry including working for varies International Companies and Paper Mills. Mr. Trevino has learned the ins and outs of paper while working his way through different departments of Paper Industries such as Purchasing, Shipping and Receiving and Customer Service before his promotion to VP of Sales. As the VP of Sales, Mr. Trevino is responsible for all phases of sales and purchasing for Intercon Paper, along with managing his sales personnel. Mr. Trevino earned his MBA and BBA before starting his career in the exclusive paper industry.
Steve Hendon has 37 years of experience in sales and sales management in the fine paper industry and converting. Mr. Hendon came to Intercon Paper in 2008. In addition he holds the PCC (Professional Certified Coach) certification from the International Coach Federation with a focus in small business development.
Mark Christman comes to Intercon Paper with an excess of 30 years’ experience in the business industry that held responsibilities such as overseeing Operations, Sales, Engineering and Accounting functions. Mr. Christman was the General Manager for well know companies such as Southwest Electric and Westinghouse Electric. Presently Mr. Christman is responsible for all aspects of Accounting and Financials within Intercon Paper Dallas and Intercon Paper Atlanta.
As Intercon Paper’s Vice President of Operations, Tony is responsible for all structures and processes throughout the Production, Logistics, Maintenance and Facilities Management departments for Dallas and Atlanta. Tony has been with Intercon Paper since October of 2007 and offers over 20 years of experience specializing in the Production of Goods and Inventory and Process Management. His commitment to identifying and meeting customer’s needs has greatly contributed to the success and growth of Intercon Paper.
Ms. Aldana has over 12 years’ experience in Human Resources Management. 12 years prior to joining Intercon Paper, Ms. Aldana led the Human Resources Departments of several facilities specializing in Construction, Education and in Women’s Health. Ms. Aldana holds her A.A.S. in Business Administration and several certificates in the H.R. field. Presently, Ms. Aldana is responsible for all aspects in the Human Resources Management at Intercon Paper with dedicated oversight on development, compliance, employee benefits, maintenance of day-to-day employee relations and overall workplace satisfaction.
